Who We Are

What do we believe?   First, you should know that unity and freedom are really important to us.  So we encourage folks to let differences of opinion be just that.  We want to focus on the crucial stuff.

We like to put it this way:

Stay united in core beliefs.
In the other stuff enjoy diversity.
In everything show love.

"Yeah, that's all good," you say, "but what are your core beliefs?"  Honestly, we're not the kind the church to pass out sign-on-the-dotted-line official statements, but what we stand on is probably best summed up in the Apostle's Creed…

Read Apostle's Creed

We believe in God, the Father almighty,
      creator of heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
      He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
      was crucified, died, and was buried;
      he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
      He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,
      the holy universal church,
      the communion of saints,
      the forgiveness of sins,
      the resurrection of the body,
      and the life everlasting. Amen.

That's the nitty-gritty.  If you have any questions beyond this you should probably chat with one of our pastors.  Some of them absolutely love theology, so they’d have a ball answering any questions you might have.
