What do you DO during your services?
Glad you asked! We have a small group – large group – small group format. Kids start off in specialized rooms for their age groups: kindergarten and first grade, second and third grade, and fourth and fifth grade. They begin with time to hang out and get to know some new friends. There is also an opening activity in a small group of eight to ten kids that introduces the weekend’s topic. From there they move into large group time where we sing, dance, play games, and hear a great story from one of our excellent storytellers. After large group time, the kids go back to their same small groups and spend twenty minutes or so talking about how they can apply what they learned about during large group times to their lives.
How can I be involved in what my kids are learning?
First and most importantly, follow the advice of Deuteronomy 6:6-9:
“The commandments I give you today must be in your hearts. Make sure your children learn them. Talk about them when you are at home. Talk about them when you walk along the road. Speak about them when you go to bed. And speak about them when you get up. Write them down and tie them on your hands as a reminder. Also tie them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses. Also write them on your gates.”
By talking with your kids about Christ, asking them questions about what they did in church, and being nosy, they will see that you care deeply about their spiritual lives. Second, model faith for your children. Pray with them, sing worship songs together, serve others. A child who sees his parent put his or her faith in action will have such a greater impact on his spiritual life than a hundred lessons. Our Mission – Partnering with parents to help kids know Christ, grow in following God’s will daily, and go and make disciples.
Restoration Park Kids is the children’s ministry for children ages zero to twelve at Restoration Park Church. At Restoration Park Kids we partner with parents to help kids know Christ, grow in following God’s will daily and go and make disciples. The foundation of their life is to know Christ and his amazing grace. If kids can understand that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever, they have a solid foundation on which to continue to grow and mature. As they grow and learn that they can trust God no matter what, it will help them make the wise choice and treat others the way they want to be treated. These foundational principles will prepare them to head into adolescence with a basis in who they are in Christ and how he sees them.
How do I register/sign up my child for Restoration Park Kids?

My kid wants to be baptized, what do I tell them?
Once again, sharing your experience and asking questions is a great way to get insight into where they are spiritually. If you need some more help, you can attend one of our baptism classes to get some good answers to tough questions.
