We join New Day Fellowship in their effort to serve a community of people who are marginalized. Some are struggling, some are homeless, but all are in need of the love of Christ. One evening a month we offer them a home cooked meal, “restaurant–style” seating, community, prayer, and God’s grace. New Day fellowship is located at 1045 East High Street in Springfield, Ohio.

How can I help?

• Help us cook and prepare meals
• Plate the food for guests

• Sit with guests and engage them to any level you are comfortable

What happens When I Serve?

You give value and love to people who feel unvalued and unloved. They are often forgotten and left behind by society. That’s tragic; Jesus told us to serve them. Meet Jackie. She is a full-time, single mom working in a school janitorial job. Her mission is to “keep my kids in school and out of trouble”. Jackie barely survives financially. The meal at New Day is the one time and place she can have a night off, go out for dinner, and spend time with adult friends. She treasures those nights.

 Anthony has become an active member of New Day Fellowship through the meal. He now serves in the church with a humble, gentle, and loving spirit. He has found a home. Anthony is a terrific artist who has created large murals in the church. You’ll get to enjoy his talent.

We provide clothing to anyone in need. We have given away as many as 1 Million articles of clothing per year. We do remote clothing “give-aways” (picture a massive rummage sale) in locations where folks are especially in need. We typically serve from 150-600 families at our give-aways. We also provide a caring, comfortable place for people in crisis to come and stock up on clothing. These clients include recovering addicts, sex-trafficked victims, prison released folks, foster parents receiving new kids, house-fire victims, etc. We see these God-moments as an opportunity to connect with, encourage, and pray for these new friends in need.

How can I help?

• Donate nice clothing
• Come “sort” clothing into gender/size/season [this is a daily party!]   
• Engage and minister to folks in crisis
• Help us serve the crowds on “clothing give away” days
• Pick up clothing for us to sort

What happens When I Serve?

You meet immediate needs just as Jesus said in Matthew 25:36 - “I was naked and you clothed me”. Most people who come to reStore are traumatized in some way and need the basics of life. We recently had a women come to reStore who had just been released from prison. She had only the clothes on her back. Overwhelmed with gratitude for receiving a new wardrobe, she began to cry. “When I went to prison, I lost everything, but being here today feels like I’ve gained it all back”. Lots of hugs, smiles, and joy followed.

FYI is committed to rescuing pre-born children, teens struggling in life, and young parents. By connecting young people with those who help them navigate their toughest seasons, they discover hope. Those who volunteer with us are usually trained as mentors. They typically give an hour or so each week to “check in” with their young mentee. They offer wisdom, encouragement, and advice to help him/her move forward. FYI now has offices in New Carlisle, Springfield, and Fairborn.

How can I help?

• Mentor a young person who finds they are expecting (or already have) a child
• Inform students on how to make good choices for their futures
• Counsel school students or juvenile detention students on how to reach new long-term goals
• Assist in the area of administration or data recording
• Serve as a prayer partner, board member, or committee member for FYI

What happens When I Serve?

You redirect the course of a young person’s life and future.  Here’s proof:

“With God’s Grace” is a ministry providing food to neighborhoods in need. We take a mobile food pantry to the cities of Huber Heights, Xenia, East Dayton, West Dayton, Miamisburg, and more. We also provide a free grocery store in the “food desert” of downtown Dayton. This is a much needed service!

How can I help?

• Donate food
• Travel with the mobile food pantry and help load groceries for families
• Set up and tear down the pantry
• Pick up food for the pantries 
• Engage and encourage folks who are losing hope 

What happens When I Serve?

We show people we care, they have value, and they are loved. We give them food for their physical hunger and generous portions of kindness and grace to feed their spiritual and emotional hunger. This is the way we respond to these words of Jesus, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat…” (Matthew 25:35). With God’s Grace may serve up to 1500 people at a mobile food pantry including children and seniors. Many no longer receive assistance or extensions and have lost homes, cars, and “everything I had.” Dee said of With God’s Grace, “They have given us what we need in this area; food. Being a diabetic, I have to maintain a healthy food diet. With God’s Grace has tremendously helped me.”

Day of honor recognizes women recovering from addiction, abuse, and sex trafficking. We honor them with “make-overs”, nails, hair dressing, clothing, make-up artistry, a catered lunch, testimonies, encouragement, prayer, gift bags, and the love of Christ. We have connected with several organizations caring for women in the midst of trials and/or trauma. Through hard work, strong will and God’s strength they successfully rise up and conquer their circumstances. We think they deserve honor, recognition, and a little pampering.

How can I help?

• Help with set up and/ or clean-up for the “Day of Honor”
• Serve as a host and escort the ladies through their scheduled day
• Prepare and/or serve the meal
• Assist with clothing/ wardrobe
• Use your gifts of hair dressing, make up, or nails artistry
• Encourage, pray with, and engage our guests

What happens When I Serve?

You bless and encourage women who work hard to take back their lives back from abuse, addiction, and trafficking. One woman recovering from decades of addiction attended a “Day of Honor.” She left behind a hand-made placard for us - “Thank you for making me feel beautiful again.”

With Victory Project, teen boys find a group of loving adults who provide emotional, spiritual, and academic growth. Young men come to Victory Project every day after school. There they receive a meal, tutoring, discipleship, and entrepreneurial skills. These young men learn how to succeed in life. Victory Project is located at 409 Troy Street Dayton, Oh

• Tutor students as they grow

You help change the course of life for young men living in greatly disadvantaged circumstances.

Meet Cody: Cody was raised by his grandmother. He was not attending school, he was unemployed, and had gotten into gang-related activities. After joining Victory Project, Cody received his GED and is now an advisor for Ohio’s Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative! Cody works for a home improvement business, has a family, and supports both his grandmother and quadriplegic brother. Cody gives God all the glory for the change in his life.

Meet Ashton: Ashton was raised by a single mother, he was in the court system, had below-average grades and poor school attendance. Since joining Victory Project, Ashton has graduated from high school and had zero re-occurrences with the court system. Currently, Ashton is a police officer.
