About Sara

Sara has been the part-time Scripture Study Coordinator since January 2025 but has been a member of Restoration Park Church/Lake Avenue Christian Church since 2014. She and her husband, Casey, have been married since 2017, and they have two dogs - Leo and Nova. Casey owns his own construction company in the New Carlisle area, and Sara works full-time at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, so free time between the two of them is hard to come by. They do, however, try to be intentional about spending time together and love traveling, eating at new restaurants, and hosting game nights with friends!

Where were you born?

Springfield, Ohio!

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

My parents always told me I was good at arguing, so I wanted to be a lawyer for the longest time until I understood all the time, money and reading that went into it.

What are two things nobody would guess about you?

1. I used to be a music teacher but don't care for musicals.

2. I played the violin all throughout middle and high school.

What are three things you cannot live without?

Aside from Jesus and my family, I'd say:

  1. Iced chai

  2. My pajamas

  3. A good night of sleep!

What is some of your favorite music?

I love a little bit of everything (except country) but primarily listen to worship music.

What is one of your guilty pleasures?

I hate cooking so I'm always happy to find any excuse to get takeout.

What is your favorite place to eat?

I love Short Stop's Chicken Alfredo pizza in Northridge!
