Welcome to Restoration park!

our Values

What do we believe?   First, you should know that unity and freedom are really important to us.  So we encourage folks to let differences of opinion be just that.  We want to focus on the crucial stuff.

  • We believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

  • We believe that the arms of our Lord are open wide. That means church should be for everybody. Even if you don’t fit a mold, or struggle with doubt, or aren’t sure about where you’re going in life, you can find a place right here. To follow Jesus you don’t have to be perfect, just willing to seek him.

  • Life is like a box of chocolates and that box was left in the backseat on a hot afternoon. It’s a mess.

Believe us, God can do awesome stuff with that mess.

So are you rough around the edges? Then come.

Does your family belong on a reality TV show? Come.

Do you have athlete’s foot or tattoos or louds kids? Come.

    You’ll fit right in.

Bring that mess. We dare you.

  • Following Jesus isn’t rocket science. You don’t have to understand how God works or memorize the Bible or always be a nice person. Jesus just said, ”Follow me”. Go where I go. Do what I do. Try it.

He doesn’t expect fireworks. He doesn’t even expect we get it. He just challenges us to listen, take a jump, and see where it goes.

We believe this is the best way to be a church.

    No acrobats. No gimmicks.

    Just listen then jump.

We’ve found that God does amazing stuff with it.

  • Restoration isn’t a church strategy. It’s not a 10 step program. It’s dirty work.

It means getting into the mess of life up to your elbows, pulling out the grime and hairballs, and recovering the good stuff.

    That’s hard.

And that’s why we need each other. So we’re in this dirty work together, with boots on.

But hey, who doesn’t like to play in the mud anyway?

That's the nitty-gritty. If you have any questions beyond this, you should probably chat with one of our pastors. Some of them absolutely love theology, so they’d have a ball answering any questions you might have.
